What Is Included in a Downloadable House Plan?
Understand what a downloadable house plan usually includes, how secure PDF delivery works, and what is not automatically included before municipal submission.
What you typically receive
A downloadable house plan is normally supplied as a PDF drawing pack that can be opened, reviewed, printed, and shared with your builder or professional team for pricing and planning.
The exact contents can differ by plan, so always check the product detail page and the What's Included page before purchasing.
- Floor plan showing the room layout, dimensions, openings, and basic building arrangement.
- Elevations showing the external appearance from different sides of the house.
- Sections showing important vertical relationships through parts of the building.
- Roof plan where available for the selected design.
- Site plan template or sample where available.
- Door and window schedules where available.
- General notes and specifications where available.
Secure delivery after payment
Download House Plan uses protected delivery for paid products. After verified payment, the customer is directed to a secure downloads page instead of receiving a public file link.
The purchased PDF is stamped with licence details such as the licensed owner, order number, province, site address, and download date. This supports the single-use licence and helps protect the drawing pack from unauthorised reuse.
- Secure download access is prepared after payment verification.
- The customer receives an email link to the protected My Downloads page.
- The original paid PDF remains private, while the downloaded customer PDF is stamped for that purchase.
What is not automatically included
A downloadable plan is a strong starting point, but it is not the same as a complete site-specific municipal submission package for every property in South Africa.
Municipalities, estates, and professionals may require extra information depending on the stand and local rules.
- SACAP sign-off or professional submission unless specifically offered as a separate service.
- Engineering designs, soil tests, land surveys, or site-specific foundation design.
- Custom plan changes unless purchased separately.
- CAD, DWG, or editable source files unless clearly stated on the product page.
- A guarantee of municipal approval.
